Trigstar Math Competition
SDSPLS will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary in 2008. the focus of our celebration will be an afternoon of surveying history at Mt. Rushmore national Memorial on Saturday, September 20, 2008. the event will feature surveying related history of the three surveying presidents (Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln) and highlights of South Dakota surveying history. We hope to expand the public knowledge and understanding of how surveyors ahve contributed to and influenced the development of our great nation and the program will be open to the general public at no charge.

The highlight of the afternoon event will be a special group photo celebrating "300+ Surveyors and One Other Guy." the photo will be on the viewing terrace with the monument as our background. The photo will be limited to the surveyors attending and will not be open to the general public.

We are extending our invitation to surveyors from across the nation and we hope to have representatives from each state. This will be a unique opportunity for surveyors from South Dakota and the United States to gather at the home of three of our country's most famous surveyors.

For our surveying friends, registration costs will be nominal - just $50 for the afternoon program, including a commemerative booklet and color group photo. There will also be a banquet dinner following the group photo. Seating for the banquet is limited and tickets are available for a separate fee.
